OMG...Am I bad at this Blog stuff!!

Well, here again.....so much time has gone by and I have put nothing on here!!  A lot has gone on since February...the snow is gone and I am bummed!!  Summer is here and it has been 'hotter then a witches' butt in a forest fire' for the last couple days.  The temperatures I can live with but that damn humidity is ridiculous!!  The only bonus about the summer is that it's time to break out the bike!!  We have put on a lot of miles lately.

Last weekend Rick, Sandy, Steve and I went joined a Cancer Run (In Memory of SPAM) and we had a great time!!  We did a carbon copy on Sunday for the "Just for Fun Ride".  The weather was FANTASTIC!!  Would love to buy another bike but have to save whatever monies we can just to get a second vehicle since the oldest broke mine. (I miss my GrandPrix GT!) Crying

Matthew is officially a Senior as of June 11th.  He got his grades and he was pissed because according to Poynette, 14 divided by 4 is 3.429 and not the 3.5 it really is!  The grading in Poynette is stupid...there aren't two teachers that use the same grading scale....idiots!!  In either case, it's time to get the college / financial aid applications out!  He is considering UCLA as his school of choice so if anyone wants to contribute to a great cause, let me know!!  Open-mouthed  (j/k)

He was nominated to be a member of the National Society of High School Scholars!  I am still trying to figure out WHO nominated him because that is the only way you can become a member.  I am truly proud of that kid!  His credits right now sit at 24 or 24.5 and you only need like 26 credits to graduate.  I told him that he could just take crap classes his senior year but he wants no part of that.  He will be taking Physics, Pre-Calc, Advanced Composition.....I hope he doesn't need help with his homework!!  LOL

Anyway, just a little update on the 'boring life of Sheri'!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

What in the ....

Well, I told myself that I would update this thing as regularly as possible but that seems to have fallen through the cracks!  Lots has gone on since I last wrote here so I am going to hit the sack and dream about what I am going to post for your viewing pleasure.  I'm sure you won't care what I have to say, but I am going to tell you anyway!!

Until tomorrow, or should I say later today.....TTFN.  Open-mouthed

Whaz goin on....hmmm....

First things first...WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED TO THE EAGLES??  Congratulations to the Cardinals (I guess).

Now, lets get to the PITTSBURGH STEELERS!!!  Oh Ben, you are the greatest!!  The game had me worried but just for a second.  It bummed me out when my pal Hines Ward got hurt.  He is lucky that knee is fully operational 'cause it sure could have blown out easily.  Thank the gods that he will be playing in Super Bowl XLIII!!  How about my other pal Troy Polamalu...That is one AMAZING dude!!  All I can say right now is this...MY prediction for the Super Bowl is STEELERS HAVE WON, STEELERS HAVE ONE!

Now on to the political front (which will be short because I don't talk politics while drinking!).  Congratulations to President Barak Obama.  May he stand by all of the words that have passed through his lips and put this country back on track.  Ok, that's enough of that!

I want to make a public service announcement for all of you snowmobilers out there.  On February 28, Beck's on the Water will be having "Winter Jam".  It is scheduled to start at 2:00pm.  They will have 2 bands playing - King Bees and Camelion.  From what I have heard, they are pretty decent bands.  I myself have never heard or heard of them so it will be interesting and fun.  Gas up the sled and come on down ~ Hope to see you there!!

Can you say COLD!!

Whoa, it sure has been a bitter week here in good ole Wisconsin! Surprised  It's so cold, your nose hairs freeze as soon as you walk out the door.  A good friend of mine sent me a poem that is sooo appropriate for this wonderful state...It goes like this:

It's winter in Wisconsin
And the gentle breezes blow,
70 miles per hour at 52 below!
Oh, how I love Wisconsin
When the snow's up to your butt,
You take a breath of winter air
And your nose is frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful,
I guess I'll hang around.
I could never leave Wisconsin,
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground!

I would say that is pretty appropriate for the weather we have had!!

Family update:  Matthew, my youngest lettered in football which was a nice surprise.  He doesn't seem to care too much but I certainly do.  Now I just have to buy him a letterman's jacket to put it on.  I take donations!!!  Those darn things are pretty expensive!

Signing off for now since there hasn't been much going on around here lately.  Hopefully we will take the sleds out this weekend since the temps are supposed to be in the 20's.  Then maybe I will have some stories for ya!

Love to all and TRY TO STAY WARM!!

Fun in the Snow!!

Well, I hope all is well with everyone!!  Making a pit stop in to update ya'll with what is happening in the great state of Wisconsin!!

A bunch of us took the sleds out today.  Me, Rick, Matthew, Ron, Dawn, Steven and Michael (friends of the family).  Man, it was awesome!  The temperature was perfect, fresh snow was falling and the trails were fabulous!  Unfortunately, all the sleds didn't hold up so well.  Steven opened his up since he hadn't been out since last year.  Well, needless to say, he blew a piston.  Disappointed  Seven sleds down to six.  Good thing Ron & Dawn have a 2-up.

All was well in the winter wonderland again....but just for a little bit anyway!  We got about another 8-9 miles down the trail and wouldn't you know it, the chain on Matthew's Phazer, gone!! Baring teeth  Matthew wasn't driving that one though.  Now we are down to five sleds for seven people and we have 'technically' only one that can carry two people.  Here we are, out in the middle of a snowmobile trail; what to do, what to do?  Rick and I ended up on my Exciter but Rick is the one that rode beotch to KD's in Lodi!!!  Tongue out

Needless to say, I ended up having my mommy come pick me up in Lodi and let everyone else go on their merry way.  Angry  Go figure, my sled is running like a champ and I give it up for someone else!!  It's all good though it was a blast while is lasted, for me anyway.

Hopefully we will have the Phazer up and running so we can go out again tomorrow since the weather is supposed to be a carbon copy of today.  Next week definitely won't be the time to go out riding...brrrrrrr!!  Confused

Chow for now!!

Almost a week into the New Year?!?

Well, I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year!!  I know I had a blast bringing it in!!  Open-mouthed  Me, Rick and my girlfriend Susan went up to Lomira to my most favorite bar ever....ROCK THE HOUSE!  They have the best staff ever!!  If you have never been there, you should make an effort!!  Send me an e-mail or post a response and I will send turn by turn instructions!

Me, Rick and our friends Ron & Dawn took the sleds out this past Friday (1/2).  What a crazy blast!!  The trails were in pretty good shape except for a little wetland we had to cross.  I thought Dawn was gonna flood out her sled the way she crossed over it but all was ducky.  Shoot, I think that water was a good 8-10 inches deep!  Either way, it was frickin' great.  I got a chance to really open my sled since last year.  It upsets me that my speedometer doesn't work cause I couldn't see how fast I was actually going but I got 'er up to 7,000 rpm's and it held tight.  Good thing the last owner has 'er governed cause I probably would have blown 'er up.  She was HAULIN' and it was totally A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!

If you don't have a snowmobile, you really need to invest in one.  Beck's on the Water out on Lake Wisconsin has a sudo Winter Fest.  Speed trials, Tiki Bar...it's such a blast.  It's a good way to kill a day on the weekend.

Well ya'll...gonna sign off for now.  Just wanted to check in and see what everyone was up to so far in 2009!!

Talk to you later.....Wink

Happy New Year's

Well Ladies & Gentlemen....just a little over 9 hours and it will be 2009.  Can you believe how fast this year has gone by?  It's freakin' me out!

I just hope that the start of a new year is the start of some luck for me.  2008 has been a pretty rough year both personally and professionally.  I guess I have to look at it this way...."It can't get any worse"...or can it??  Either way, as long as I am above ground it's a good day.

I hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year and I will talk to you in 2009!! Party
